Bio

Rodin is the new name of 2econdclasscitizen

His debut album ‘Asha’ is a mix of Bollywood music and hip hop.

Unique in his approach Rodin fuzes the two styles, to create a psychedelic inspired trip into warm Bombay evenings and festivals of colour. Technicolour sounds somehow merge together as seamlessly as New Delhi traffic. Think soundtracks, thumping basslines and moody samples. Whether you want dance floor action or hip-hop nods-from-the-waist this will get you moving...

The Live show is an experience like no other. Visuals from  Bollywood classics are mixed with colourful patterns and Fx then synced live with the sounds coming from Rodin’s turntables. It’s a performance unique and original in its approach and unlike anything, you may have seen before.

Aaron has performed at many events and festivals over the years. Including Glastonbury the Soundwave festival and frequent European Tours.
Sharing stages with the likes of Hidden Orchestra, Dj Food, Jurrasic 5, Buddy Peace, Ceschi, Cars and trains, Mr Thing, The Scratch perverts Loca, Buck 65, B Dolan, Dosh, Gong and many more.

we are now booking more shows in Europe and beyond. If you are interested please email Rodinmusic@hotmail.com for more details

Bollywood soundtracks of the 1970’s have captivated me ever since discovering a whole box of records in a charity shop. This was around the time my album ‘A World Without’ was released under original name 2econd Class Citizen.
Through Rodin im exploring new musical pathways and with 'Asha' I set about blending vintage Bollywood samples with contemporary beats and basslines, instrumentation and digital fx...

Think sweltering Bollywood soundtracks, thumping basslines and moody samples. Whether you want dance floor action or hip-hop nods-from-the-waist, this is cracking! (Inky Mole)

It is as much an album for the world music aficionado as it is for the dancefloor and hip-hop heads. It compels the audience to tune in, as it evokes images of warm Bombay evenings and festivals of colour. Technicolour sounds somehow merge together as seamlessly as New Delhi traffic. (Paul Drury)

The album sounds great, the Bollywood parts really work, not overkilled but enough to form a theme running through. (Strictly Kev)

Rickshaw Roadtrip is dope!! (Nu Mark)

This year, the summer album of excellence is signed Rodin. New incarnation of the beatmaker 2econd class citizen. It mixes breakbeats, and samples of the old bollywood of the 70 s for a result as psychedelic as it is earthy...
